That is not new, it has existed in the USA for more than 200 years, racism is a product of the class society, and the discrimination against Asians goes parallel with the discrimination against Natives, Blacks, poor whites, and Latinos, and in the particular case of Asian it has existed since the time that they emigrated to work in the railroad system, and in certain time they were not allowed to emigrate to the USA, during WWII the discrimination increased to its highest level. The USA capitalist class has always blamed their internal economic problem on somebody else, and millions of peoples will believe it
