Marx’s descendants

Curious article in this week's edition of the Surrey Comet where someone called Marx is claimed to be Marx's great great grandson:

He's either a fraud or deluded. Marx does have some living descendants but unless they've changed their name they won't be called Marx. Marx had three daughters. Only one of them had children, his first daughter Jenny who married a Frenchman called Longuet. They had children whose grandchildren will be Marx's descendants but they are all French with French names.

The headline in the paper edition is "In the footsteps of Marx" as if Marx would have advocated begging as a  way to help deal with homelessness. Joseph Marx says he has flirted with his namesake's ideas but decided they didn't work in practice. But Marx's solution was simple and obvious: on the basis of common ownership produce for use — build houses for people to live in, not for sale or rent.
