ParticipantWhen Tom Hodgkinson profiled Kropotkin on the Daily Politics two weeks ago (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-27342902), the presenter Andrew Neil said he'd never heard of him. This would be Jo Coburn's and most of the mainstream media's bemused feeling about the SPGB.I don't think the other guest was glowering either.

It always boils down to that in the end. Just shows that there is little in the way of substance among mainstream politics when they wheel out the human nature card.Pretty sure Jo Coburn simply said she might dispute the notion of 'human nature' being put forward. I think even members of the SPGB could disagree on 'human nature'.

ParticipantALB wrote:Our election communication is due to be distributed in South Wales today, Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and some of the valleys. Meanwhile the CPB and the SWP are trying to persuade us not to participate in any hustings at which the BNP and Britain First will be represented. Are the SPGB in particular being asked by the CPB and the SWP? If they'd rather us stand outside and shout while Lib-Lab-Con get a free rein – than go in and verbally attack them on the same platform then no thanks.

ParticipantYep awful demagogic rant. Worse still, the use of what looks like Comic Sans (http://www.comicsanscriminal.com/). In fairness though, this may be the case that the only backers of TUSC in Scotland are the tiny Sheridan fan-club kicked out of the larger reformist 'Scottish Socialist Party'.

ParticipantReports from urban75 suggest proletarian democracy are either calling for a vote for ukip without illusions or entering ukip to push it to the left. Also this
Quote:The intersectional working committees of Proletarian Democracy are constantly striving to identify new and exciting forms of oppression which can be applied to a proletarian milieu hungry to assault new privilege.Sometimes candidate comrades are too imbued with residual privilege to recognise the depth of oppressions afflicting them; so this is where the highly trained councillors of our brand new Privilege Quotient hotline are essential!Marxplaining:- the ability to explain any and all issues through the random application of unconnected quotes from the works of Marx and Engels, has been crudely applied by soi disant anti-party elements for decades, but now under the guidance of our Eternal Dear Leader Barry Mainwaring, the development of the ‘Double Diamond’ of Marxism-Posadism: Dialectical Dianetics has opened up an new world of oppression and new vistas for liberation!Under the close supervision of their designated councillor, each candidate completes our detailed questionnaire. Then through a bafflingly advanced mathematical process, a Privilege Quotient fraction is derived, uniquely tailored to the comrade.jondwhite

ParticipantClause 7 of the Declaration of Principles states 'That as all political parties are but the expression of class interests, and as the interest of the working class is diametrically opposed to the interests of all sections of the master class, the party seeking working class emancipation must be hostile to every other party.'The SPGB does not want votes unless you understand and want what the SPGB wants, especially if you are organised into a political party for a different political objective.See my letter in the same issuehttp://cpgb.org.uk/home/weekly-worker/1008/letters

ParticipantFirst of all, great to hear you've heard of the party, and that comrades on revleft are interesting people in SPGB. Improving Google rankings is a good idea but one thing to bear in mind is google personalised search skews this for a lot of google users anyway.
