You can remove the "evolutionary psychology" explanations and just so stories (in fact you are probably quite right to do so) but the predictably irrational patterns of behavior still remain. You are not so smart, no one is… Though none of this is a barrier to socialism. In fact it's doing some of the work for us. Behavioral economics have successfully undermined the assumptions of neo-classical economics. Socialism does not rely on the assumption that human beings are thoroughly "rational" agents.
