WORLD SOCIALIST PARTY (NEW ZEALAND) – General Administrative Committee
Meeting held via telephone at 51 Weymouth Road, Manurewa and 15 Tanera Crescent, Wellington
DATE: Sunday 2nd June 2013.
CHAIRPERSON: T Lovatt. Moved M Gribble, 2nd V Lovatt.
OPEN: 2:10pm.
PRESENT: (Committee) A Coombs, M Gribble, T Lovatt, C Matene.
(Members) G Coffey, V Lovatt, J Ryder.
APOLOGIES: M Grayson.
PREVIOUS MINUTES/ERRORS & OMISSIONS:
Previous minutes read. Omission to Apologies: M Gribble also put in apologies for previous meeting. C Matene moved the previous minutes be accepted after corrections made, V Lovatt 2nd.
DISCUSSION ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES:
1. Wikipedia – Register online in order to edit information on Wikipedia.
2. Essay competition – Winner was selected and the prize pack dispatched.
3. Treasurer’s report – Investment options, funds reinvested, discussion on Bonus Bonds, all members present unanimously agree that $3000 be invested in Bonus Bonds.
CORRESPONDENCE:
1. Socialist Party of Canada – Newsletter received via email.
2. Telephone call from SPGB Internet Committee member regarding details for the WSPNZ website.
3. Prize pack for the essay competition was sent via courier post.
LITERATURE SECRETARY’S REPORT:
Postponed until next month.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Treasurer’s report read. M Gribble moved that any outstanding accounts be paid and the treasurer’s report be accepted, C Matene 2nd.
GENERAL BUSINESS:
1. Thank you to C Matene for the socialist info cards and other work with a round of applause.
