WORLD SOCIALIST PARTY (NEW ZEALAND) – General Administrative Committee
Meeting held via mobile telephone at 51 Weymouth Road, Manurewa and 15 Tanera Crescent, Wellington
DATE: Sunday 6th April 2014.
CHAIRPERSON: M Gribble. Moved T Lovatt, 2nd C Matene.
OPEN: 2:15pm.
PRESENT: (Committee) A Coombs, M Grayson, M Gribble, T Lovatt, C Matene.
(Members) G Coffey, V Lovatt, C Malins, J Ryder.
(Supporters) Sega (the dog).
APOLOGIES: None.
PREVIOUS MINUTES/ERRORS & OMISSIONS:
Previous minutes read out. C Matene moved the minutes be accepted 2nd T Lovatt.
DISCUSSION ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES:
1. WSPNZ website still waiting for progress on updating to http://www.worldsocialism.org/nz.
CORRESPONDENCE:
1. World Socialist Party of India conference minutes received via email.
2. Socialist Party of Canada newsletter for April received via email.
C Matene moved the correspondence be accepted, 2nd A Coombs.
LITERATURE SECRETARY’S REPORT:
1. Socialist Standards for March have not arrived from overseas yet. More journals have been posted. Auckland University have sent a cheque for subscription. Postage cost has gone up. Cost is now $6 per envelope. Discussion on whether the WSPNZ or subscribers pay for the extra postage. M Grayson moved the literature secretary’s report be accepted, 2nd C Matene.
TREASURER’S REPORT:
Treasurer’s report presented. Bonus Bonds won $20 prize. M Gribble moved the treasurer’s report be accepted, 2nd C Matene.
GENERAL BUSINESS:
1. None.
