The forum and the way some have been moderated whilst others have not, ie for flaming, insulting, trolling, has finally led me, a Socialist of unswerving commitment for 31 years, to resign from MY party. Others may feel defferently, and I would appreciate your comments.

Cde Colborn has referred to forum moderation as a farce and as you know he is not the first.A Cde has posted 3 or 4 off topic and provocative posts as gnome then moderated himself as moderator1. Certainly a farce TOGW
I will not bother posting on this forum again until/unless the moderation queue is lifted. By the time my post is shown on the forum it will be out of date. TOGW

Steve, it is a sad day when any socialist thinks it is time to leave the WSM because of internal politics. I understand your reluctance and your reasons, having been a member of the SPGB in the past.The only thing I can say, is that this issue will at some point get sorted out. As with any new method of communication, teething problems occur and unfortunately their are always some who see the need for control at any cost. It was the same for the invention of the printing press.Here we have some socialists who think it vital to control the forums by any means they see fit. If the SPGB is truly open and democratic, and I am confident there are enough members who still hold open democracy to be the corner stone of socialism, those who advocate control at any cost will be put in their place.Patience is the key word here. You have fought to advance the cause for world socialism most of your life. A little extra patience with party bureaucracy, will I am sure see the SPGB return to full functioning status and probably be the better for this issue being addressed and dealt with.However if you feel unable to stay a member of the WSM I hope you will not abandon this forum. I certainly do feel unable to stay a member of the SPGB. On clearing my old yahoo e.mails, in preparation for cancelling my membership of all SPGB sites, I read every e.mail and the more I read, the more sure I was, that my decision was the correct one. Talk about frightening the life out of oneself. The mess and the problems were so blatant. The defence of the indefencesible doubly so. People who pride themselves on their logic, being so illogical? A farce I called it, a farce it remains. One sided all of it was, I thought I'd entered into the Politburo!Enjoy.Steve, sickened and saddened.

Is OGW banned for 7 days, or is he in a moderation queue? He posted at 8.19 on this thread, his post is yet to appear!Is he banned from posting or what? This is what has soured my piss and is, to me unacceptable and has caused my resignation.Steve.
