Users without avatars

Anyone wonder why many users don't use avatars? It makes the forum more interesting and colourful I think. Perhaps there is a way they could be encouraged to do so.

No, never wondered. Can't be bothered personally – far too many other things to be doing.  I wouldn't have a clue where to start and I really don't want to know. It's a simple matter of horses for courses I think. (Same with all the frilly bits with smily faces etc)

Also looking at gnomes at home it remains the same (the little gnome avatar), but in work it is different (the anarcho-communist flag). Clear my cache or something like that I suppose.
