Washington, DC – US prosecutors have charged WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange with conspiracy for agreeing to break a password to a classified US government computer with former US Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning in 2010.

According to court documents, unsealed on Thursday, the charge relates to Assange‘s alleged role in one of the “largest compromises of classified information in the history of the United States”, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) said in a statement.

The media, all of it, should be standing solidly behind Assange. This is about the freedom to do investigative journalism and about the dissemination of information that some in power would wish to remain secret.

This will create a precedent which will allow the USA to extradite, or place in jail any Journalist that publish any documents, or make any investigation against the affairs of the US government, therefore, true Journalism is going to become a crime. It looks like our world instead of moving forward it is moving backward

So Assange was right all along as to what might happen if he didn’t seek political asylum somewhere out of the US government’s reach.

The question is why he did not look for asylum in Russia like Snowden did ?

The arrest of Assange it is just an act of revenge from Lenin Moreno due to the fact that Wikileaks published the ina papers which shows that he is guilty of corruption and money laundering in exchange for a loan from the imf. Curiously he has not been accused of corruption by the USA government like they did with lula Correa Kirkner. Ilma and Ortega Macri was included in the panama papers and most members of the do called Lima groups are also being accused of corruption Those are the USA moral allied. Lenin said that Assange was spying in the embassy but he did not have a telephone or internet connection.

They have used some ridiculous pretexts to process Assange under the espionage act one of them is that his cat was used for espionage inside the embassy
