No idea where to place this , whether it should be Euromaiden, Occupy, Arab Spring or whatever.

It highlights a case we have made about movements without a democratic structure. Yes, protest movements spring up without leaders but as some stage we argue that they have to either form a political party or create for themselves a form of democracy that makes all accountable and stops it being hi-jacked by others in its name. This article on the Egyptian democracy protests describes how the army quite easily manipulated it.

I'm not claiming we have all the answers and have the correct formula to avoid such situations but we  raise the question when it isn't popular to do so. Of course, others also tackle the issue of organisation but they frequenty come with their own undemocratic baggage and try to substitute their control over movements.

For better or worse, as in our attitude to unions, we defend the practices of those actually involved to direct their own affairs through a form of constitution and agreed rules.
