He is already saying, if he can’t tax the rich class, he is going to tax he middle class, but which middle class ? The middle class does not exist, probably he means the working class, but the state is an institution financed with surplus value. He economic reality is showing to him and the DSA that capitalism can’t be reformed to benefit the vast majority of the workers.

In NYC and the whole USA are making a big deal about the elections of these social democrats infiltrated in the democratic party advocating for capitalist reforms and state interventions
Many social democrats have been elected in many countries around the world, and they have done the same job as any other presidents and workers have removed them, all of them have been a failure
The so called Socialist International is composed of several reformists capitalist political parties and democratic socialism was founded by Edward Bernestein.
It is not a big deal, it only shows that young workers are not satisfied with the Democratic and Republican Party leaders, but it does not mean that they want to establish a pos capitalist society, they do not know what socialism really is yet
