Hundreds of thousands of people in Puerto Rico’s capital and surrounding communities woke up without running water as a massive rationing measure took effect Friday. It comes amid a severe drought on top of shortages due to infrastructure issues on the island.“It’s brutal,” San Juan resident Gloriany Baba told CBS News in Spanish. “It’s unbelievable to live through this today.”

What Roberto wrote in this forum is true: neither statehood nor independence will liberate the Puerto Rican workers when the real problem is capitalism. It is the same case for all the Latin American and African countries. In our time, the SLP of America supported the independence of Puerto Rico, and they had a branch in Puerto Rico. Besides water, they do not have any electricity; it looks like Cuba is not the only country having the same problems. Now the so-called Pitiyankis are complaining about the lack of water, electricity, lack of food, medical benefits and housing bankruptcy
