Public discussion Sunday 22 July, 2pm to 5pm, with speakers from The Socialist Party (World Socialist Movement) and The Zeitgeist Movement.

2.15 What’s wrong with the present economic system
Speakers: Dick Field (WSM) and Steve Duffield (TZM)
3.30 Break
3.45 How to get to a society where money isn’t needed
Speakers: Francesco (TZM) and Adam Buick (WSM)
5.00 Finish
The discussion will cover the shortcomings of the present monetary system and some emerging alternatives for the transition to the Resource Based Economy/Socialism
There will be two sessions of an hour and a bit with a break in the middle for tea
There’ll be plenty of opportunity for questions/contributions from the audience.
Room 11, Irish Cultural Centre, 3 Blacks Road, W6 9DT (2 minutes from Hammersmith tube and bus station).
I think this is fantastic. I am trying to book cheap flights so I can fly down from Glasgow to attend this event. Am really looking fwd to it. This kind of interaction should be going on more often with TZM. I think both orhanisations can learn from each other. This event has been largely organised by TZM and they have told us that they will be filming it although at the moment we don’t know where or when the finished result will be seen.
