There’s a campaign to coordinate tactical voting to defeat Conservative candidates in the next general election, arranged by the Political Primary Network. They’re focused most in South Devon and explain their approach in this website: https://www.southdevonprimary.org/ I’m not keen on this kind of thing, as there’s something insincere about voting tactically, and the PPN’s method encourages people to vote for larger parties even if their beliefs sit elsewhere.

Personally I’m against all tactical voting unless it’s to go against fascists and even then it’s a maybe.

Tactical voting introduces a lot of problems as it can be used by the ruling class to subjugate us at every turn.

I.e. “you don’t like what we’re doing huh, well it’s either that or you get HIM!”

Eugene Debs, the American Social Democrat, put the case against tactical voting in political elections rather well:

“It is better to vote for what you want and not get it than to vote for what you don’t want and get it.”

I was going to dredge up that quote: but also, we need to watch out for the fascist bogey.

It’s no coincidence that the fash vote goes up under Labour governments, it suites them and the Tories. Look at France: Macron has nothing to offer the French, except that he is not the Front National, even while stealing their policies. In America, Biden is relying on the gamble that people will vote for him, while offering them nothing, because he is not Trump. It’s the magicians trick of ‘forcing’ a card on their mark. You need to vote for what you want, not against something.
