I'm sure it was just a silly oversight but I think omitting the individual results of the SPGB candidates in the recent General Election from the article in this month's Socialist Standard reporting on the campaign, we've left ourselves open to be accused of hiding the results from our readers.
Following is a discussion on the page titled: Party News: Our Election Campaign.
Below is the discussion so far. Feel free to add your own comments!Actually we did consider putting in the detailed results but decided not to on grounds of space. To have just published the votes of our candidates would have given a misleading impression. To have published the full results for 10 constituencies with a total of 74 candidates would have taken up too much room. In any event, results are readily available elsewhere and mention of one in a thousand did give a general idea (even though all our candidates bar one did better than this).

Fair enough if there isn't enough room in the Standard for inclusion of the results – though I note some months the Standard will have the occasional page that is covered with about 75% image – but I do think the results should be readily accessible on the Party website.And when I write 'readily accessible' I don't mean included in a comment on a thread on the discussion forum.

Who's admin? Are they on the Editorial of the Standard?
