What would become of socialism, if in a country that was fatally drawn into a world conflict the workers’ party should prove to be a political captive of the ruling class, if its opportunist leaders, due to this captivity they were in, had to provide passive or active support to their government’s military campaign? This question should have occurred to the French opportunists when they voted for the resolution of protest against the coming war. And if they had thought carefully about the meaning of that protest, they would not have been surprised that the representatives of Russian and Japanese socialism—directly implicated in that protest—all went on to vote for the ‘Dresden’ resolution, that logical conclusion from the class solidarity of the world proletariat.”

Rosa Luxembourg was the same case but all her works have been published in five volumes including her letters
The irony is that less than ten years later Jules Guesde of the French Social Democratic Party (who was held in high regard in the early days of the SPGB) joined the French government when the First World War broke out. The German Social Democratic Party wasn’t invited to join the government but most of its members in the Reichstag voted for the war credits.
Several members and theorists within the working class movement were tested during World War One, and some ended up supporting the war

I think if we’re posting French and Spanish translations of Edmund’s English translation, we should make a note that he isn’t responsible for those translations (are these machine translations?).
They are a combination of software (WordPerfect, MS Word Professional) and personal translation. Machine translations are not accurate, and they are free; you must know the language in order to do the proper translation. Those are translations posted on the MIA, and they are in the public domain. There is a Spanish and French section of Jiluis Martov on the MIA website. I know the law of intellectual property

Most Spanish versions of the works of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, Luxemburg, and Mao are in the public domain, and several universities have them online, including UNAM, UBA and U of C

These are good translations that have been triple-checked and polished

The English translation has more than 55 mistakes. I double-checked it with a Grammarly subscription that I have, and it asked me to rearrange all the sentences. I did not do it; I respect other people’s work
It is like the Bible who has lost its original version when it was translated into different languages. And it has been interpolated 7500 times
The same case applies to Marx’s Capital, and the best version has been made in Spain by Siglo XXI and Fondo de Cultura Económica; they were done from the sources by people who knew German.
Rosa Luxemburg new compiled version was done by people who know German; now it is under copyright.
The Machine translation of the article in question is: Es socialismo nacional? and it is wrong.

I wasn’t questioning your translations, but the fact that at the top is says “Traducción y notas por Edmund Griffiths (2026).” which gives the implication that the translations are by EG, when he’s only responsible for the English translation from the Russian.
I don’t alter other people’s translations or literary works. I was going to send it to Adam, and he can forward it to MIA, and they can do whatever they want.
My main objective is to increase the archive of Julius Martov in Spanish.
I have seen many errors in the articles and pamphlets published by the SPGB, and I do not make any changes or alterations.
