which they have been doing so.It seems to me that off-topic is a better place for the music thread, as the forum’s purpose is the discussion of socialism and the socialist party, it’s not a music forum.
It looks that there are contradictions among the Generals of this army. Now, the moderators will also decide what type of music we can publish in this forum including the off topic, therefore, Jazz, Brazilian music, Classical Music, Opera, or Afro music is not music.
During the 60 the Cubans produced a lot of protest musics and none of them resolved the social and political problems of the world, on the contrary, they were worshipping dictators and false idols.
I have been collecting musics for decades and I had a collection of more than 10,000 LP and I sold them after I transferred them to CD, DAT, reel to reel and HI Fi VHS, music is more than protest or political music, it is like listening all the time the so called Christian music

The reason I suggested moving the Music thread to off-topic is precisely because there are no limits to what goes in the off-topic forum, leaving the general forum for discussions of socialism.
My own collection of atonal drone music might not make the cut of most people’s definition of music.
Hmmmm I don’t necessarily agree with what comrade moderator has done. We had a music thread that – last time I looked- had members of this forum engaged. Okay, we might not always have prefaced our music posts with a learned discourse. But surely we were all getting the point. Music can speak more than words sometimes. I accept my moderator comrade’s decision of course. But unfortunately all the music lovers here will now have to go on a weirdly cumbersome journey via this thread and the newly formed “off topic” thread to continue our musical journey to socialism. As if this forum wasn’t hard enough to navigate!

The above statement is a contradiction because the moderator only moved certain types of songs ( or music ) to the new thread, the whole thread should have been moved to off topics because other types of music ( classical, jazz, bolero, latin, afro, asian, opera, etc ) were removed . As I said before, Protest and political music is not the only type of music that exists in this wide whole world
Nothing was moved to the new thread, people just started posting there, I cannot merge topics across different forums (else I would just have moved the whole music thread to off-topic.) I simply closed the thread in this forum, and started a new one in the off-topic forum.
The original thread is still there, i think, if people want to consult it?
You are a lucky guy because when I was a moderator I did not have so many attributes and freedom, and my access to the system was limited, I was discriminated. I had more chiefs than Indians. and when I made drastic decisions I was attacked by everybody, that is one of the reason why I did not offer myself to be a moderator, or to work on any committee
I prefer to have my own forums, my own websites and blogs, the only boss and leaders that I have had in my life were my father and my mother.
You only transferred certain type of music to the new thread but the other types of music were eliminated including the ones that i posted, therefore, you are not taking into considerations the musical selection or preferences of others participants, you are not acting as an impartial moderator, you are promoting censorship, and I do not care If am blocked or kicked out, Matt and Alan did not act in that way, and the job did not go over their heads
Music is what a real radio announcer called, the soul of the peoples, it is the creation of everybody from different parts of the world, and the best composer of music have been peasants who never had any academic background on music, on some musical trend like Tangos, Boleros, and Bachatas came from prostitution house, even more, Mozart and Beethoven were frequently customers of prostitutes houses . In the past there were companies selling all kind of music, they had 5 and 10 floors full of music, and crate diggers ( like myself ) used to buy music almost every weekend and many peoples visited those places, they knew about music, and they knew about good musical instruments and stereo equipments and they were collectors of music and good stereo equipments, as well, we were surrounded by bookstores

Seriously, nothing was moved, nothing was deleted. I used the ‘close thread’ function to prevent any further posting to the old music thread, and then I started a new thread in a different forum, and provided a link and asked people to post there. I have not moved any music, no music have I moved, there was no movement of music, the music stayed where it is, it is immobile, I have not moved any music.
No music was eliminated, nothing was removed, as ALB has said, the music thread is still there, it is still visible, nothing was deleted, nothing was moved, there was no censorship.
Please, just post nice music links in the new music thread. Start a new thread if you like (in Off topic, please). Feel free to discuss music here, preferably in a socialist context.
Didn’t one of the moderator move the music thread to Off Topic ?
