This is according to Deborah Orr in the Guardian…

I posted my own cliche ridden two cents worth in the comments section…

"There can never ever be a "Better Capitalism". This system of society is designed to benefit the 1% (Capitalist Class) over and above the needs of the 99% (Working Class) at all times. The never ending pursuit of profit is the one and only goal of this globalised cancer…a tumour which may destroy us all in the end.
The only solution left to humanity is that we the 99% organise globally, politically, democratically and consciously to bring about the worldwide abolition of Capitalism. All we have left is each other in this regard. We are running out of time very quickly now.
The solution is not an international version of the hideous state-capitalist dicatorships which still exist in China, Cuba and North Korea. These so-called "Workers States" are in fact just left wing fascist fiefdoms where Capitalism is run not by private Capitalists but by and in the interests of the state and it's billionaire party bosses.
Lenin, Stalin, Caeucescu, Mao, Pol-Pot, Castro and Hitler (who also called himself a "Socialist") are all dirty bastards as far as I am concerned. Not only because of the mass atrocities they commited against workers but crucially due to the fact of what they did to Socialism/Communism.
Because of their futile efforts of reforming Capitalism we are still in the same shit we were in 100 years ago…and what's more the only true solution…pure moneyless Socialism/Communism now harbours a mass of confusion and disdain in worker's minds in terms of terminology and understanding. All over the world.
I refer to Socialism/Communism because technically both Isms refer to the same thing…that is if you go back far enough to when Marx, Engels and Luxemburg were kicking about. Lenin and all the rest of them…incl even Kinnock, Sheridan, Galloway and Hatton etc have horribly distorted the original aims of Marx and Engels. Their hideous legacy has nothing whatever to do with the original message which has been bastardised and warped out of all recognition. So what is this thing called Communism/Socialism? It can be summed up in four simple poiints…

    1. Democratic control by and in the interests of all humanity.

    2. Common ownership of the world's resources.

    3. Free access to the means of living.

    4. Production solely for use rather than profit.

A moneyless, stateless global system of society with no leaders, bosses…or even workers…only billions of volunteers. People living together and sharing the vast trust fund of the world's bounty.

Utopian. Fantastical. Impossible. That's exactly what I would say to Deborah Orr about her hopes that Capitalism can ever be run in the interests of the 99%. This is like saying Auschwitz could have been somehow operated in the interests of the Jews. CAPITALISM MUST GO! Feudalism didn't last forever and neither will Capitalism.
Only a leaderless mass majority within the 99% can bring about a global reality where the producers and distributors of wealth (us) will for the first time in history be in complete control of the means and instruments of production and distribution for the benefit of all humankind. Our survival as a species depends on this.
