The comments made on this post describe it as AI generated – is that correct? If it is it is a good introduction to the subject of Engel’s and other 19th century anthropologists ideas about the family and the state. The graphics and title don’t represent the content – what’s going on here comrades? This address is a bit suspect.

The comment accuses them of using an AI large language model to write a summary from which they base their episode, instead of reading the texts themselves. No idea if the claim is true or not.

There’s a good video explaining how these things work here:

Edit: listening to it the voices don’t sound quite right, so the audio could be AI generated too. The actual words are very cliche and generic which is a giveaway.

DJP – Why the mismatch between the graphics and title with the actual contents? If it is total AI I’m quite impressed since it’s much better than some other ‘human’ discussions on the matter.

Why the mismatch? Clickbait. They want as many people to click on the video as possible, probably because they are looking to make money out of it. If you get enough views YouTube gives you a share of the advertising revenue.

Very cynical but probably true. I would like to think they lure in reactionaries who think they are going to get their prejudices confirmed only to find them subverted by a rational discourse.
