Most people in the USA, including democratic socialists, do not know whoEdward Bernstein was, and they do not know that he was a reformist social democrat. There is no association between Marx and Bernstein; on the contrary, he was the first Marx revisionist.
Most governors and senators are scared because they can be replaced by younger people in the US Congress, but they are not a threat to capitalism; on the contrary, their main objective is to reform capitalism and bring back a portion of Roosevelt’s New Deal.
Most of those senator are elderly and have been in power for more than 16 years, and they do not want to lose their posts; it is like a nursing home
In the USA, Democratic socialism is a big deal, but in Europe and Latin America, several democratic socialists have been elected, and most people know that they are just social democrats .
