Minutes of The General Administrative Committee, December 2012
Present: Ron Jenkins, Steve Shannon, John Ames, Mercedes Martinson, Tom Coles, Philippe-Antoine Cormier, John Ayers
Communications
– 5 Introductory packages sent out
– 2 literature orders filled
Good of the Movement
– A booth at Word on the Street, Toronto
– A party representative invited to give a talk on socialism at Royal Military
College.
– Members attended Occupy’s Political Science presentation
New Proposals/Discussion
– A number of domain names came up for renewal at a cost of around
$150. A discussion was held on the pros and cons of keeping them.
The consensus was that we keep them for one year and then try to
evaluate them and then vote again. As half of them point to the WSM
site, it was thought that they be offered to our companion parties to
take over, manage, and pay for. All SPC members are invited to
comment and vote on this proposal. Please do so by
December 31.
