Certainly it is what conventional economic wisdom dictates viz companies will not invest when they cannot see a profit. However company profits are the highest they have been for 50 years as a percentage of GDP, and interest rates and hurdle rates are the lowest for 200 years, so in spite of the bad news out there it beggars belief that companies can’t see a profit opportunity.
