How does it compare with our printing costs?

Quite favourably. The Centenary of the Russian Revolution book cost £653 for 300 copies (£2.17 per copy) but would have worked out proportionately less for a longer print run. It also had around 50% more pages than the one quoted above, a glossy cover, proper spine with the title printed on it and no staples.
