International working class solidarity has never been more possible, and more necessary, than right now. As cynical as many of us are, we have no choice but to fight against wage slavery every way we can, and that means using the net to organize an international political party and labor union to fight capitalism and wage slavery, and offer an alternative to neoliberalism, social democracy, and bourgeois democracy.
From an american perspective, we lack both big-tent and small-tent socialist movements, even though many of us want to take part in one. Looking at the three main economic ideologies(neoliberalism, social democracy, and socialism), we as socialists are terribly under-represented in our political options. I see in /r/socialism an opportunity to build a big-tent, One Big Union political party and labor movement, with regional and idealogical wings, capable of organizing strikes, demonstrations, and protests, with the overall goal of abolishing wage slavery.
I've developed an online direct democracy platform, built specifically for leftist movements like this, called Referendum, which could help with decision-making, polling, and discussing goals, platforms, and direction. All the polls on it are dynamic, meaning members themselves can contribute poll options, making it a less authoritarian, bottom-up style of democracy.
I'd also be glad to help build a website and infrastructure for the party, based on what the community thinks it should be.
To start things off, here's a poll to name the party. Feel free to add suggestions, and vote on the ones you like.
Workers of the world, unite!
