Roosevelt New Deal was state capitalism, and during the war he expropriated/leased lands, farms, factories, yachts and boats

“MAGA Marxism”! Now admit people are stupid.

Who ever thought that the free marketeers weren’t stupid.

It’s a bit of jump (and fault of logic) to move from saying some people are stupid to saying all people are stupid.

Born in 1960, I never came across as many stupid people as I have since the 2000s. Basic things, such as some sense of historical sequence, and the location of areas of the Earth, are now specialist subjects, as is a decent vocabulary.

It seems that Trump is considering doing one good thing — abandoning the Orwellian Newspeak name of the department for war:

The War department of the Department of war was the original name for several decades and the person in charge was the Secretary of war

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Department_of_War. No more secretary of the defense, now it is going to be the secretary of the offensive. The Secretary of war negotiating a peace agreement might sound contradictory . The war budget is one trillion.

He is doing the same thing of the Spaniards, when they arrived to the Americas, they changed the names to everything that had already being named, the name of North America was the turtle island and The Americas was Abya Yala, and the South West was called Aztlan

He should call the White House the black house because it was built by black slaves

More nonsense and confusion by the BBC

Trump’s brand of US capitalism faces ‘socialist’ backlash from conservatives

Donald Trump is getting the US government into the computer chip business.

He announced on Friday that the federal government is acquiring a 10% stake in Intel, the Fortune 500 company that is one of the largest American manufacturers of semiconductors. And he hinted that the US might not be done adding to its stock portfolio.

Pure ignorance or opportunism. Going back to the old days of Roosevelt’s new deal who also expropriated several capitalist properties into the hands of the state, and shared ownership with several corporations.

The state is becoming a corporation able to run business to produce profits. Nothing different to Soviet and Chinese state capitalism.

They run a campaign against the so called big government, but they are increasing the size of the state apparatus, it shows that the state must always participate in the economic affairs of the society

They are taking over the control of Washington DC railroad stations which means that they are taking possession of the system of “public” transportation, another state capitalist measure, it was also done by Domingo Peron in Argentina.

They are going to continue expropriating many economic sectors, voters have been fooled again. That is what some media reporters call corporate/ welfare socialism

Chickens are coming home to roost

Amtrak is the US government railroads transportation system. It was already in the hands of the state.

Years ago most “public” transportation was done by trains

I subscribe to the Bulwark newsletter. (A right of centre anti-Trump news group), and one of their latest newsletters had this timeline of Trump’s latest pronouncements. It makes for fascinating reading:

Fast Times at the End Times
Things are unraveling quickly. And Trump’s approval is fine.
    JONATHAN V. LAST
    AUG 27

    1. Two weeks
Warning: We’re going extra dark today.

It’s been just two weeks since the president of the United States ordered a military occupation of the nation’s capital. I understand that it feels longer. But I want to highlight for you two things: (1) The pace at which we are moving, and (2) how Trump employs a mix of the ridiculous and the dangerous.

August 11: Trump announces he is deploying National Guard troops to take over Washington, D.C.

August 13: Trump declares that he has personally chosen the recipients of the Kennedy Center Honors for 2025.

August 15: Trump greets Vladimir Putin in Alaska with a red carpet rolled out by kneeling American soldiers and literal applause.

August 22: Trump announces that the U.S. government has taken a 10 percent ownership stake in Intel.

August 24: Trump demands that the Baseball Hall of Fame admit Roger Clemens.

August 25: Trump announces that he has removed Lisa Cook from the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.

August 26: Trump instructs Cracker Barrel to abandon its new company logo.

Most of those anti Trump groups are very superficial, they never go to the real roots of the problem, they and several others leftists and Leninists groups think that the problem of the US is Donald Trump and his cabinet, and that by placing Trump instead of Kamala Harris was not the solution.

Kamala Harris was going to continue Joe Biden policy and the economic was not promising was they were projecting, if the situation was so good for the workers why they vote for the economic instead of Harris ? Donald Trump was a much better snake oil salesman, the economy was in bad shape already and she was going to continue the wars and tensions with Russia, Iran and China

Both represented the same interests and Trump is the continuation of several policies established by several presidents before him uncluding Joe Biden, Barrack Obama, George Bush, jr and Sr, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter, the only difference is that Donald Trump is doing it in a more open way

All those measures lately established by Donald Trump were also done by prior presidents from both political parties, and in some way he is re establishing some measure done during the presidency of Roosevelt and John F Kennedy, trying to do regime change and sending troops and warship to Latin America is nothing new, JFK asked several presidents to resign or to be killed, and Johnson sent troops to different countries.

It was part of the gunboat diplomacy and Monroe doctrine, and Jimmy Carter established the Carter doctrine in the Middle Easta, and since the very beginning George Washington wanted to occupy Haiti and send slaves that they were not able to control to Haiti.

Barrack Obama and Joe Biden deported more foreign workers than Donald Trump, even more Obama was called the deportee in chief, and Joe Biden approved thousands of temporary workers because there was a shortage of labors and during the 1930 thousands of US citizens were deported to Mexico and the depression was blamed on them, and Ronald Reagan approved an amnesty because there was a shortage of agricultural workers

He is not the first one to impose tariff, the tariff system was imposed by the congress in 1789 and Mckinley was called the Tariff man of 1890, all of them passed in order to produce income and revenue for the state and to protect US goods from English importation and others countries, and to reduce taxation on the capitalist class.

He is not doing anything new, the only difference is that his government style is chaotic, but it is part of the actual situation of world capitalism, there was a prior presidential candidate who tried to be friendly with the Soviet Union and he lost the nomination and a warmonger was elected .

The best way to understand that is by reading and studying the real history of the USA written by progressive Historian, and the main problem is not racism, the main problem has been capitalist development all the time and the employment of cheap labor force to produce large amount of surplus value

Most presidents since George Washington have followed the same policy, the problem of the USA started since the very beginning that it was formed as a capitalist nation, therefore the main problem is capitalism, and they can replace Trump and the new president will continue with the same policy and will uphold many of his policies

But this is always the case because most workers are not materialists. Their voting and their blaming, their adulation and condemnation, are personality-based and “star”-based. They don’t see people being moved by a system of society, by material forces of which most are unaware, or at best partly aware.
“Greatness”, guilt and blame, criminality and conspiracy are their points of reference, not historical materialism. So individuals occupying positions are targets of their discontent, which is a blind and muddled discontent.
Blame and guilt (mis)inform the entire culture. So does the adulation of wealth and “success.”
The capitalist world around them is one of Marvel-like supervillains, with everyone waiting upon “superheroes” to “lead” them out of the bleakness.

Trump confirms U.S. strike on alleged Venezuelan drug boat
    ————————————————————————————————————-

The US government is an expert sinking ships in order to find excuses for a war.

How can we know that the ship was carrying drugs ? There are a lot of fishing ships in that area.

How drugs cartels are going to send a ship with drugs in the middle of a military fleet ?

The USA government has always said that most drugs come inside the US thru the border, and most drugs and they have thousands of troop to the border

Legal port of entry for drugs are used by US citizens, they are not used by immigrants .

This situation sounds like Iraq weapons of mass destruction

Peoples in the Caribbean are saying that the best drug cartel is the US DEA
