My geography teacher in school was in his nineties at least. He had been a drummer boy in the Boer War, told us the Chinese had pigtails so we could grab them when they tried to run away, and still thought Germany was ruled by a Kaiser – yet he, bless him, had more sense than the military buffoons today recommending air raid sirens, gas masks, bunkers and public regimentation to “be prepared” for a nuclear attack!

These overgrown kids (although anything but harmless) are still living in the 1940s and haven’t the slightest idea of a nuclear reality.

The White House has a lunatic carrying the nuclear codes who will create any situation in order to stay in power . The nuclear codes were removed from Richard Nixon who was a heavy alcohol drinker

Well, Trump can stay in power (and alive) by NOT pressing the button. If he presses it, he will be neither. I think he knows that. He doesn’t want to play golf underground.

That is the point of the articles cited indicating that they are planning to modify the procedures of the nuclear codes, it means that a president can not just push the bottom and start a nuclear war. Noam Chomsky has indicated that a Russian high level general did not obey the order to start a war.

It is not so easy for Donald Trump to stay indefinitely in power, he has a lot of resistance and there are several mechanism to remove him. It can be done in countries like El Salvador which has very weak institutions. The case is different in advanced limited capitalist democracy .

Immigration is the only issue that he has at the present time and he has found a lot of resistance from the workers and from some sector of the capitalist class and the farmers too and with all the monetary resources that he has obtained, he has not been able to reach the same level of deportation of prior presidents,( including Obama who was called the deportee in chief ) and also Reagan tried to do the same thing and he was forced to signed an amnesty for the undocumented workers, market is stronger than any powerful president .

Editorial – Trump – what now?

The Trump-Putin summit in Alaska and the shift in American geostrategy

A calculated move made by Putin and Trump, each one is defending the interests of their own ruling class there is nothing about treason as some democratic leaders are shouting, they will do the same thing that was done during WW 2, they will split among each others the resources of Ukraine. Thousands of poor peoples from both sides have died and the spoils of wars will be collected by the capitalist class

Trump seems to be saying that it was NATO’s bid to expand eastwards right up the Russian border by incorporating Ukraine that provoked the Russian invasion as the rulers of the Russian state regarded this as an existential threat.

At least that is how his statement that the war would never have happened if he had been President on 2023 can be interpreted. In other words, he would have backed down in the face of Russian opposition and not insisted on Ukraine joining NATO.

Whether he would have done at the time is another matter. In any event, he is now saying that Ukraine shouldn’t join NATO, which is a shift from the position the rulers of the US took at the time. This could also be interpreted as admission by the US of the failure of its previous policy.

He is yet to face the storm from Graham and the Senate when it reconvenes next month. Plus, Zelensky is taking political reinforcements from Europe with him to his meeting with Trump.

Be prepared to see the chucking of Friday’s “satisfactory” meeting with Putin. Zelensky is all smiles. Back to square one by the end of this week!

Donald Trump has also said that the US has had many unnecessary and unjust wars, but it is very had to believe or follow his statement because his flip flop from side to another side, from one stand to another stand.

He promised to end all wars ( which can not be done by a president, only to control arm supplies ) but he continued the war in the Middle East, and he has continued certain policies established by Joe Biden . He knows that the USA has lost this war .

There was an America presidential candidate who wants to be friendly with the Soviet Union and avoid the proliferation of atomic weapons and he lost the nomination and a warmonger became president

Divisions between NATO and the USA

Crisis summit at White House over Ukraine war riven by divisions

Ironically, now the real warmongers are the Democrats leaders and the European leaders. Donald Trump wants to sign a peace agreement with the Russians in order to split among them the natural resources of Ukraine.

We know that peace agreements and ceasefire among the capitalists can be violated, and they have done that all the time

The Russians already have the best part of Ukraine, and they have Crimea which gives them access to the seas for their naval fleet.

The Russians do not want NATO to be their closer neighbor either, trying to weaken Russian did not work out and trying to bring Russia to their sphere of influences did not work either.

The BRICS conglomerate is getting stronger and getting more members and Russia and China are part of that commercial cartel

” NATO military chiefs are due to meet on Wednesday to discuss the details of potential security guarantees for Ukraine amid efforts to broker a ceasefire to Russia’s offensive.” Al Jazeera.

The Alaska summit saw Trump agreeing that NATO wouldn’t be involved in this.

They want to dissolve NATO or leave it, and to run the show by themselves, to take the natural resources of Ukraine or share temporarily it with Russia, like Roosevelt, Churchill and Stalin did on the Postdam treaty after World War 2, and two factions took over the whole world and the fight continued

On his first term he said that NATO was only needed in order to confront the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact, although the Soviet Union pact was formed as a response to NATO and the militarization of Europe and Germany by the Western Powers and the USA, and then he said that he wanted them to pay more by buying USA weapons

Donald Trump is a very unstable political leader, he always changes his mind, he is a business man, he is not a politician, the real politician is Joe Biden who has been a politician for almost 50 years, and he is like a chameleon, he adapts himself to any situation and he is more diplomatic, they placed him next to Barrack Obama because he had more experiences.

The main source of Russian income is oil and weapons manufacturing ( specially oil ) and they continue doing that with others countries like China, India and Latin America, therefore those sanctions are not going to affect them, at the present time BRICS has control of the biggest world population and the biggest world market and the USA can not control them

The US Congress can pass any act or any law and he will violate it, that is toilet paper for him, he is a typical capitalist who just want to produce profits at all cost . Later on he will change his stand regarding Russia peace agreement and ceasefire

That is the problem of following leaders like sheep, they can not change anything to please the working class, they are changed by the market system and the logic of capitalism, but the majority of the workers do not see that, they think that capitalist leaders are going to resolve their problems and like a pendulum they oscillate from left or right or viceversa.

The left wingers do not understand that either because they are leaders followers too, and they think that their leaders will do a much better job, and both sides are the same, they are irrelevant, they are two wings of the same bird known as capitalism, and in the case of Ukraine/Russia they do not understand that this an inter class conflict, one group support the Ukrainian leaders and another group support the Russian leaders and for them Putin is a working class leader fighting against fascism, the same old stalinist/ troskyist stand.

In the website and forum of RT ( formerly Russia Today ) they are insulting each others without any political substance, they are unprincipled, empty suits, propagating many conspiracies theories.

Only a class consciousness working class can resolve all world conflicts, but sadly the working class is not ready yet

Nor will we ever be. Consciousness is a hopeless dream. I’m tending to steer towards Mr More. I think a global Nuclear war is increasingly likely within the next 6 – 9 months. I hope I’m wrong.
