InactiveAlthough The Mail was correct, in that Putin did say we would be in a nuclear war, that we wouldn’t have time to blink, and that Russia has a great nuclear capability.

InactiveWon’t Ukraine lose patience with the U.S. if NATO membership is forever postponed? Won’t it realise it’s a pawn?

KeymasterThey might settle for neutrality, guaranteed by a treaty, like Austria.

InactiveBut the electorate are so enamoured of NATO, how will NATO present its procrastination to them? “Sorry, but you can’t join because Russia objects”?
And how would that square with the U.S. wish, as you said, to “finish the job” on Russia?

KeymasterA reminder that the Labour Party is right behind Boris Johnson in supporting NATO expansion into Ukraine. Today’s Times even calls Starmer a “NATO hawk” and supports him in this.
But this is what you have to do if you want to be considered fit to be the CEO of UK Capitalism plc.

KeymasterHere are the details of the meeting to be addressed by Corbyn that the Times editorial refers to.
It’s strange title for them since the only side to have threatened war is Russia, with the Western powers saying would not respond militarily to a Russian invasion. But, who knows, perhaps their message is aimed at Putin too.

InactiveHas there been a western response to Putin’s nuclear warning?

InactivePerhaps an invasion would be the only way of removing the danger of Ukraine joining NATO.

ParticipantPerhaps an invasion would be the only way of removing the danger of Ukraine joining NATO.
Danger to whom?
You are a one trick pony seeming to advertise a war scenario above all else.
They’ll bumble through this crisis, shouting ‘Boo’ and sow the seeds of the next one, if every one is not satisfied.
Either way, we in the WSM, will not be taking sides with any of them.

InactiveI’m not taking sides. I just don’t want a nuclear holocaust. If Ukraine joins NATO, which Johnson and others seem to want, then we’re all fried.
