    With all the discussion around Your Party, I thought I’d dig out the minutes of the foundation meeting of Our Party:

    Interesting to read the debates, and the process whereby the provisional committee organised the event, those present declared themselves to be the whole membership, and then began voting on the rules and principles.

    This is wonderful, a list of defunct unions and party names. I particularly liked
    “Committee of the Useful Classes”
    and
    “The London Corresponding Society of the Unrepresented Part of the People of Great Britain”

    Not clicked on the link but I immediately thought of Jaroslav Hasek’s The Party of Moderate Progress Within the Bounds of the Law.
