Shouldn’t the home page of our website contain analysis of current events rather than the cover of the Standard and its contents?
I think Groups Io is a much better platform for discussion forum and for political organizations. The software designer was the same individual that designed Yahoo groups. Longer articles, books and pamphlets can be published without links, easier to publish photos, videos and movies. The SPGB has/had one but it looks like Mat or Alan had the password . WordPress forum is only an attachment . Groups IO provides lectures and class to moderators of how to operate the platform
C – Anyone who does an online search concerning the various contemporary wars, genocides and various disasters would never find our analysis. The homepage should be there to answer anyone’s search for why these things are happening, not a debating forum. It may well be that we have no comrades available for such day-to-day work so I’m only asking. This is obviously one of the reasons why we don’t have a large presence in the digital world.
The Socialist Party/WSM does not have enough manpower to embark itself in a big project, on the contrary, the WSM is losing members
There are websites of the Socialist Party and the WSM on the internet, but they are not hitting the candies of the Piñatas, and peoples are not interested on real socialist principles, they just want reformism, to worship leaders, and to place politicians on jails.
This forum might have hundred of members and only a few peoples are participating.
I have had several websites, invested a lot of time, published hundreds of articles of the SPGB and nobody cared
I have asked for help or participants and nobody is willing to do that, only Matt Culbert was the only one willing to help
Though the Homepage of the website doesn’t do exactly what Wez wants (and it would be good if it could, but I don’t think we’ve got sufficient ‘staff’ for it), there is still a topical ‘snippet’ on an up-to-date issue on the Homepage that changes on a weekly basis. Better than nothing.
When you have the desires and the motivation to learn something new, you will do it. The best source of information is the socialist party index, it is the curriculum or the textbook of an university of socialism.
I received one and I keep it like a treasure, and I went thru most of the articles, and pamphlets one by one, and I learned many new concepts several years ago, and I do appreciate the person that sent it to me, and I have great respect for him
There are poor workers around the whole world who do not computers or internet, but they have learned Marxism and socialist conceptions using the resources that they have.
Wordpress is not a good software for forums or publications, the best one is Group io, Podcast, or Mastodon. Reading and recording every month the articles of the Socialist Standard is a good choice
Facebook, blue social, tik tok, and twitter are craps, but they are the most popular one. Every carpenter has his/her own hammer and we have to use those hammers by the meantime.or like somebody else wrote: “if the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem has to look like a nail.”
The SPGB pamphlet on wars is more than enough, it just have to be updated, similar to the updating that Socialist Party did to the Communist Manifesto, it is much better than reading thousands of warmongers articles, videos, memes and photos published by left-wingers

The International Communist Current has branches in different countries and they started in France
The International Marxist humanist Organization started a few months ago and they have several branches in the USA, and correspondents in different countries, they publish articles almost every day, and they have public meeting every months, and they have peoples that speaks several languages. They publish books and they are always looking for new members and they are getting young peoples
WSWS has a daily podcast and they publish new articles every day and they have a newspaper that is publish in different languages, and they have correspondent in different places around the world. They have a newspaper that covers several countries in Latin America
RCP is always recruiting young peoples and they give public conferences, and they are always on the street protesting on every marches and events, they have bookstores and libraries at the stores
CPUSA has offices in different places and offices in the USA and a big mansion where they provide classess to the community, and a weekly newspaper and they have many writers and journalists
The CPCML used to print a daily newspaper of the same size of the Washington Post and the New York, they were sold on news stands
The SPGB does not have the manpower and the resources to do that, and it is not projecting itself toward other countries and other nationalities or ethnic groups, it might follows the same route of the SLP of America
