    Hey all,

I'm conducting a report based around the question 'Can a Socialist society on a Marxist model be created in one country?' and I am curious to know where some of you stand. Obviously there are massive differences in opinion between socialists so It would be really useful to get some general viewpoints.

    Thanks.

Our answer to the question is No, it can't be. There's a basic exposition of our position on this here:http://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/socialist-standard/1980s/1989/no-1020-august-1989/socialism-means-one-world

I have explained to leninists in simple term that socialism in one country is like a small surrounded by shark anybody trying to go to the ocean will be eaten by the hungry sharksThe best example would the so called socialist Albania and they isolated themselves by breaking commercially from the big capitalists powers and hunger and extreme poverty extended thru all the nationCapitalism in one country does not work either a big economical power like the usa can not isolate  itself like the nationalist are trying to do. NoCountry is self sufficient
