An Open Letter To The Executive Committee

Comrades,

It is with interest, I have been following recent comments made on SPINTCOM, regarding the North East Group, or rather the

 lack of a North East Group.

Not being a Party member, I cannot make a comment on SPINTCOM, so I do so here.

During 2012 Comrades Vincent Maratty and Stephen Colburn endevoured to resurect a North East Branch, in Seaham.

An ex-member indicated that he favoured rejoining and a sympathiser was encouraged to apply.

This would have given the group five members, enough for a start.

Of course, events on the Forum led to Cde. Moratty resigning, forestalling anny Seaham Group activity.

I do not know if anyone is awair of Cdes. Colborn & Maratty's actions, regarding a Seaham Group, but i see Cde. Maratty's

application to rejoin the Party is to be discussed at the Jan. 4th. E.C. meeting.

Comrades, the name Moratty is synonymous with Socialism in Seaham and I look upon Cde. Maratty, with his energy and

enthusiasm as a pivotal member of any North East Group.
