Basically, they are financial<br \/>\nintermediaries, accepting money originally generated in production from business<br \/>\nand individuals who don\u2019t want to spend it immediately (but to \u201csave\u201d and spend<br \/>\nlater) and lending most of this to fund some business project or purchase.
