As the classic reactionary twit, Frank Burns of M.A.S.H. has to be one of comedy’s greatest creations. He is a prime example of the genuine, sincere buffoon who is deaf to the truth of his own sayings. Here is my favourite:
“Ah war! (sighing affectionately) Never have so many suffered so much so that so few could be so happy.”
Why are we getting this type of post in this forum?
Why not? This is an off-topic forum for jokes etc.
It’s good to be well-rounded, isn’t it?
It’s Trotskyist/politico types, in my experience, who have no place for the humorous.
Don’t you want to be the life and soul of the Party?
