Unless members declare their intention to attend a physical meeting there is no point in organising it. A mininum of four members is required.February 20, 2015 at 6:18 pm #109852
Sorry Vin, should have replied before now! I'll attend a physical meeting. Thats JD, you and myself so far. One more and I think we should go ahead with a physical meeting. YFS Steve C.February 21, 2015 at 1:13 pm #109853AnonymousInactive

Just to confirm that this meeting is still on – as I have informed all members by 'snailmail' – but the meeting will no longer deal with RULE 29 as the member has resigned. We can decide agenda on the night . Hope we have a good Turn out. vin Br SecMarch 24, 2015 at 11:38 pm #109857
It was, as Joe D states, a disappointing turnout, not least, because I informed each and every one of the contacts H.O. had sent me, as a candidate in the forthcoming General Election, who had inquired about our/my view on the Privatisation of the NHS, the supposed byout of the NHS by big American companies ETC ETC. I informed these inquirers that were they to attend tonights meeting, we would be willing and more than willing, to answer any and all questions they had to ask!No one availed themselves of the oppurtunity. As I spent time on the invitations, I will now spend time on asking these "enquirers", what, in fact, was their intention?I think I know what it was. These people read something online and thought they would add their email addresses and names, to an automated response system, that would generate emails on their behalf, to ask questions, they were'nt interested enough to ask themselves, in person. It is my intention to send each of these "enquirers" an email, asking specifically if they were indeed, interested in the response "their" email would elicit, or was it just a "throw away" click on a site they had visited and why, if as their emails suggested, they were so enthused to send the email, they were so less than enthusiastic in the offer of a General Election Candidate to answer their questions/questions, directly!!!March 24, 2015 at 11:44 pm #109858
The company of Socialists made up for the disappointment of the turnout. My thanks to Vin, Joe, Stevie D (non member but still a Socialist) and Tim Kilgallon. A pity all Socialists were not as energised. Thanks for your company!!! Stevie C.March 25, 2015 at 1:24 am #109856northern lightParticipant
Just come back from the meeting and I have to say it was a very disapointing turn-out.Nevertheless, Tim K. made the effort and turned up, even though he is still recovering from the "man flu. " Tim left early, leaving Steve Colburn, Vin Maratty, Socialist Punk and yours truely, to ourselves. At times, I caught myself ( as is my wont ) just sitting there listening and enjoying the company of such fine socialists as these.March 25, 2015 at 10:11 am #109859AnonymousInactive
I was expecting a better turnout, too Comrades but five is a good start.I have written to all banch members on a number of occassions now but received little response. Two members are unable to take part because of poor health but apart from that only Tim has managed to turn up but like the rest of us he is keen to get things going. There was talk of searching for a more suitable venue?
