If I accept the nomination of the chair, can I propose that we carry out the following tasks before closing:1. that we accept Cde Marraty's resignation as branch secretary2. In the absence of a branch secretary i would put my name forward as an acting Branch Secretary on the understanding that I would take that role with only one task in mind organising the next branch meeting as a face to face meeting, with a view to appointing a permenant Branch Secretary.3. that the meeting be suspended, with all motions still oin the table unitl such time as a a face to face meeting can be held.YFsTimp.s Joe, I know how lucky I was, there was a documentary on Thurday about a blioke who had a similar condition and he lost both legs, both arms and half of his face, Shit myself watching it!!! fortunately my handsome face is now restored and I can resume life as a male model

Bit of strange one, was travelling down to Manchester on Monday night with a bit of a cold and a little spot on my nose. Stopped at Wetherby services to buy some lemsip and was shivering and teeth were chattering. by the time I got to hotel to check in the end of my nose was bright red. By three in the morning my whole face was red and swollen ended up in A&E, turned out I had bacterial cellulitis and if I hadn't gone to A&E there was a good chance I could have ended up with meningitis and/or toxic shock syndrome, which could have been fatal. Only went to A&E at three int he morning because of the Junior Drs strike starting at 8am, otherwise would have probably waited till next morning. Who says strike action never achieved anything!

Glad to here you are OK TIM vin Linda

No, and I'll say this one, last, time, there are "NO" Standing Orders" for "Online" meetings. We are the first Branch to attempt this format. The "Standing Orders" you may, or may not have posted, were for live, face to face, meetings. That is my final word!!!

So does cde Colborn's 'final word' overide the party's constituion? Or should he withdraw this comment? And the branch accept the SO of the Party?  http://www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/forum/regional-branches/north-east/branch-standing-orders

If you go back to post #228, there's no disclaimer as to who wrote it. I would have thought it simple enough to have considered that aspect without having to be told?

Vin, I wasn't even on the Forum at the time of Harleys visit. I was, in actual fact, doing my physio and taking my meds.If I had been around, I would have greeted Harley. So what is your suggestion as to why I/we didn't say Hi?

Why not say Hi now . he is probably watching.Funny how the three I mentioned respond to my comment speedily. He probably disappeared from the cold response.

In fact, when you mentioned Harley being on, was the first time I new it. I said what I did, in an informative fashion but you turned it around! And no, I don't believe it when you state, "He probably disappeared from the cold response". Are you the head shit stirrer, you definitely sem to be trying to "stir" it!
