The trail takes in various places associated with Bamford and Peterloo, including the assembly point for the Middleton contingent, his memorial in the cemetery and some pubs he frequented. Meet at 2pm by the Travel Shop at Middleton Bus Station; Middleton can be reached by buses from Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale and Bury, among other places. It is a short walk from the bus station to the start of the trail, which involves some gentle hills.
