All the parties in this election - Labour, Tories, Lib Dems, Greens - support capitalism, the profit system. They argue over who should manage it locally, but they all end up doing the same thing: cutting services, protecting profits, and keeping the system running for the rich.
That's why housing, healthcare, and other services in our area are always under pressure. Capitalism puts profits first - and people second. That's not a flaw, it's how the system works.
We say: it's time to scrap the system, not manage it.
Not more politicians. Not more promises.
But a society based on common ownership, democratic control, and production for need, not profit.
In a word: socialism.
Object: The establishment of a system of society based upon the common ownership and democratic control of the means and instruments for producing and distributing wealth by and in the interest of the whole community.
