    Andrew Neil was much less harsh on him than he was on us, but I suppose he was giving him enough rope. That wouldn't work with us so he used mockery instead.

    Not just the Labour Party. He was also on point about trade unions, as well.

    I watched it and i agree that Neil made a slick non-aggressive cross-examination which left Downing floundering. It demonstrates that it takes someone very media savvy and experienced such as Galloway or Brand to steer an interview with someone as skilled as Neil at interviewing. The Labourite certainly was more correct in his depiction of the Labour Party than Downing's picture of it. Everything Downing said is being said by the Democrats to delegitimise any third party such as the Greens….
