In a speech to the annual conference of the British Chambers of Commerce on 8 March, John McDonnell, Labour's Shadow Chancellor who the media insist on saying is a "Marxist", was reported as promising:

    Quote:
Mr McDonnell said that Labour would create “an environment where people feel if they invest they will get a secure return”.

Well, at least he's logical: if you aspire to preside over the operation of capitalism (as Labour always has done and still does even under Corbyn), and capitalism runs on profits, then you must accept that profits have to be made. Expect more defence and praise of profits if ever Corbyn becomes Prime Minister and McDonnell Chancellor of the Exchequer.
