Dear Comrades,

This is the first call for Motions and Amendments to Rule for the preliminary Agenda of Conference 2006.  Could all members note that the last date for returning Motions and Amendments to Rule will be the Friday 27th January 2006.  Conference will be held on 14th & 15th April in 2006.

Please note that the Party ballot is going out today and that all members should receive their ballot paper in the near future. The returning date is Friday 6th January 2006.

Also please note that there are vacancies for two Trustees, two Auditors, Assistant Secretary, Assistant Treasurer and four EC posts. Any nominations for these to be made to the EC by 12 noon on Saturday 7th January.

Could all members/branches note that nominations are required to all of the 25 EC departments/committees/officers. The list of them is: Departments: Advertising, Audio? (ex Tapes-CDs) Campaigns, Election, Enquiries, Internet, Media, Publications, Research (includes archives, library, books) Standard, Video Production, Blogsite Department (the latter is coming into effect in January)

This is to let members/branches know that a call is made for nominations for
the Executive Committee (10 vacancies) and for the following Party officers
posts: General Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer,  Assistant
Treasurer, Central Organiser, 2 Auditors, 2 Trustees.

Closing date for nominations is Friday 2nd December. Nominations shall be
submitted on a Form B and  a supporting statement is required for anyone not
having stood for that post before, optional for those who have served in
these posts before

A copy of the Form B will be  sent to Branch Secretaries in due course.
