    REPORT OF THE PROCEEDING OF THE SPRING SCHOOL & TWENTY FOURTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE WORLD SOCIALIST PARTY (INDIA) HELD AT HEAD OFFICE, 3 & 4 MARCH 2018:

     

    • TWENTY FOURTH ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2018: Saturday, 3rd March, 2 PM to 7 PM (with breaks): (called to order at 2.15 PM)

     

    Participants: Hari Sadhan Ghosh, Binay Sarkar, Pradip Kumar Singha, Sumitra Mondal, Raghu Narayan Chaudhuri,

     

    – Chairperson: Hari Sadhan Ghosh

     

    – B. Sarkar welcomed comrades.

     

    • Since Prasanta Mondal, Sujan Mondal and Barun Roy expressed over phone their intention to attend the School next day the schedules were altered to take up the Conference programme first on the 3rd and to hold the School afterwards on the 4th.

     

    Annual Party Vote:

    – Self-nominated and uncontested:

    General Secretary: Binay Sarkar

    Treasurer: Pradip Kumar Singha

    Auditor: Hari Sadhan Ghosh

    Head Office Organizer: Sumitra Mondal

     

    MSC: Agreed.

    Conference closed at 6.45 PM

     

    • SPRING SCHOOL: Sunday, 4th March, 2 PM to 7 PM (with breaks):

    (called to order at 2.45 PM)

    – Present: Binay Sarkar, Hari Sadhan Ghosh, Pradip Kumar Singha, Sumitra Mondal, Indrani Majumder, Raghu Narayan Chaudhuri

     

    Chairperson: Hari Sadhan Ghosh

     

    – Discussion continued on:

    1. End employment to end unemployment;

    2. Capitalist relation of production;

    3. Differentiation between various components of capital &

    4. Road-map to Socialism

     

    • Reading and discussion continued until closure at 6.30 PM (having a tea break from 5 PM to 5.30 PM).

    • Dipankar Roy called on the meet over phone from his present humble abode – an Old Age Home and complained he could have attended the programmes had he been informed earlier expressing his willingness to attend the next Autumn Membership Meeting.
