I have had a couple of reports on browsers when trying to access the site that there is a problem with the site's security Certificate this was with both Firewox and explorer, not sure if this is an issue for the site or not?

I tried unsuccessfully to reproduce this problem after loading a Win10 OS on a variety of browsers. It has been flagged up by Darren for further investigation .

Comrade, The feedback from our website gang is that, the SSL certificate expired yesterday.  Will renew it shortly.      Note: The expiration of the SSL certificate does NOT effect the encryption process in any way.  It's safe to use 'Advanced' option on the warning page to add an exception.I hope this helps.

An experience I had might be related. Yesterday i googled a subject and looked if there was a worldsocialism article about it. When I clicked on one particular article chrome hindered me from going to it as "the connection is not private" and warned me that hackers might be trying to get my personal information. But I had visited the SPGB website a few minutes earlier without any warnings whatsoever. It was only that one article that chrome hindered me from visiting.

Don't know if this is related but last night the site appeared to be off line with the message 'Connection refused'. Don't know how long it lasted but appears OK now

There is  lot of work going on just now which is why I have tried to provide some replies to the queries to save Darren and others being distracted. temporary blips like that one could be for any number of reasons. It happens to me when I have too many pages open or  I lose my network briefly. A reboot sorts it..

Some browsers can be great and then a pain at other times. It's safe to use 'Advanced' option on the warning page to add an exception.
