http://socialist-courier.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/edinburgh-may-day-2017.htmlNo' a bad day at Hollyrood and in town today, for May Day demo. A slight increase in turnout, hard to tell a couple of dozen extra maybe with good natured family friendly march, kids on  shoulders and so on.The use of the ponds at Holyrood for paddling by kids and a couple of dogs, lent a spring festival atmosphere. I didn't give away too many leaflets, Fraser and Jimmy did most, even all  of that and distributed Standards Cde Buick had rushed up for us, but we spent time chatting to different people, a former Labour councillor who occasionally has attended our branch, one a young bloke from Stirling Uni another the paramedic on call, both of whom approached us in friendly manner, in the first instance..There is a link at the bottom giving  more photos.http://socialist-courier.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/edinburgh-may-day-2017.html http://socialist-courier.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/edinburgh-may-day-2017.html

A good effort put in by the EH comrades.

Can i ask who he is and what is his current view of the Party?

I forget his name for the moment.I'll send privately in any case.I think you've met him at some point. He stood as 'Independent socialist' in the recent council elections and was hammered. He seems to like, everybody, our badge and others on his jacket. But always seems genuinely pleased to see us and asked where Fraser was before the demo started. He seems to be a believer in two stageism, is the main sticking point. Fraser had a longer chat alongside  him on the way down to Holyrood, As you know we didn't participate in the demo as such but progress to the venue is easier alongside it, Comrade Moir and self hobbling along at the rear, anyway I'll get more info. from Fraser and give a personal update asap.
