When most people talk about the City of London what they are thinking of is the stock market where shares are traded, but there are many markets in the City and the stock market is only one of them.
We often hear or read that the rich people behind the companies which operate in the City are “the wealth creators” but no wealth is produced there, the City is where real wealth in the form of goods and services is fought over and where the surplus value created by the working class is divided between different sections of the capitalist class.
There is a lot more to the City of London than most people think.
