Before you ask us any detailed, or even general, questions please consider the following:
We are happy to respond to your questions, but we strongly recommend that you read our free introductory package first. It will give you an overview of the Socialist Party of Canada, why we think society needs changing, what we think it needs changing to, and how to go about making those changes.
Socialism, as understood by the World Socialist Movement, is a comprehensive analysis of human society. Anybody can understand it, but even our introductory package (of more than 25 leaflets) covers only the basics: enough to answer most questions, provide a working understanding of socialism, and lay the groundwork for those who want more detailed information.
Have you read What Socialism Means? It is a very short introduction to socialism.
Have you read our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)? It answers, in short form, many basic questions about socialism and the World Socialist Movement.
If you want to criticize the World Socialist Movement (WSM), that's fair. No idea is above challenge. However, much of the criticism received by the WSM accuses us of supporting ideas which are clearly opposed in these pages and the introductory package. Rational criticism requires finding out what the WSM supports before launching into criticism. For an example of completely uninformed criticism, please review the article Assumption and Ignorance vs Reason and Reality.
If you request a free introductory package, please be sure to provide us your full postal address. We will mail to any address on the planet. Unfortunately, the introductory package is only available in English.
